Meet the experts behind Zyglox

Our multidisciplinary team combines deep academic research with hands-on industrial experience. From tribology to complex sensor systems, we engineer the future of high-precision measurement.

Co-Founder
Jakob Moder
DI Dr.

Jakob bridges the gap between complex engineering and the creation of innovative products designed to solve the industry's toughest problems. Years of industry experience and his PhD from Montanuniversität Leoben, specializing in mechanical and materials engineering alongside measurement technology enable him to bring cutting-edge research into commercial reality.

Co-Founder
Erik Gerstl
DI

Erik leverages his expertise in measurement systems, software, and electronics to lead the product development of the Zyglox sensor systems. With a Master's degree in Process Engineering and experience as a Project Manager in sensor development, he seamlessly integrates mechanics, electronics, and programming to transform complex engineering challenges into robust, market-ready hardware solutions.

Market & Growth
Fabio Gerhold
MA

Fabio translates technical expertise into beautiful messages and commercial results. As a multiple creative he has worked as a Venture Builder and Product Marketing Strategist on a mission to break predetermined patterns and connect complex solutions with genuine business needs. He manages Zyglox's financial health, Go-To-Market strategy, and scalable growth operations.

Machine Learning & Software Development
Christian Findenig
DI

Christian develops the models and software that turn Zyglox sensor data into reliable, interpretable insight. After completing his Master's degree in Software Engineering and Management with a specialization in Machine Learning he worked as a Junior Scientist for Probabilistic Machine Learning at Materials Center Leoben. He combines physical models with data, quantifying the uncertainty of every prediction. Christian builds scalable and long-term maintainable software — grounded in years of engineering IoT solutions for condition monitoring.

Hardware & Electronics Development
Thomas Opriessnig
BSc

Alongside his Master's studies in Electrical Engineering, Thomas is the driving force behind Zyglox's electronics prototyping. He owns the end-to-end hardware development cycle: designing PCBs, executing precision assembly, and engineering custom 3D-printed enclosures via CAD. Thomas bridges the gap between digital design and tangible, market-ready hardware.

Finance
Adilajda Omanovic
BSc

Currently completing her Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Graz, Adilajda has built a diverse background in controlling across non-profits, banks, and marketing companies. Now stepping into the technical field, she bridges finance and operations by professionalizing our accounting processes.

Mechanical Design & Manufacturing
Patrizia Ruggenthaler
BSc

Patrizia turns sensor concepts into physical parts. Alongside her Master's studies in Biomedical Engineering — majoring in Biomedical Instrumentation and Sensors with a minor in Neural Engineering — she covers mechanical design at Zyglox, from CAD model through manufacturing to functional prototype. Four years of hands-on experience in medical device production taught her what actually holds up in the workshop, and she pairs that practical judgement with the precision of digital design.
