At Zyglox, we are shaping the future of secure and sustainable mobility with a patented, next-generation sensor system for the railway industry. We are a funded, early-stage startup developing condition monitoring solutions based on space technologies. To accelerate our hardware development, we are currently looking for creative and hands-on support in Design & 3D-Printing. If you have a passion for tinkering and want to guide your ideas all the way from a CAD model to physical testing, we want to meet you.

Your Mission: What You'll Achieve As part of our hardware team, you will be directly involved in the creation of our sensor and testing systems.

  • End-to-End Design: You work on design projects, starting from the initial idea all the way to the final assembly of parts.

  • Prototyping: You will design and build prototypes and testing devices that serve as integral building blocks for our product development process.

  • Hands-on Testing: You won't just work behind a screen; you will actively test your designs on larger-scale test-rigs and actual vehicles.

  • Collaboration: You will coordinate and carry out development tasks in cooperation with our external development partners as needed.

Your Profile: What You Bring to the Table We are looking for a motivated, solution-oriented individual who loves to experiment and bring ideas to life.

  • CAD Skills: You have solid experience in 3D-CAD (e.g., Solidworks, Fusion 360).

  • Manufacturing Knowledge: You understand manufacturing technologies, with a strong focus on 3D-printing and machining.

  • Tech-Savvy: You possess basic skills in programming (Python) and aren't afraid to bridge the gap between hardware and code.

  • Maker Mindset: You have a genuine interest in tinkering, experimenting, and iterative problem-solving.

Our Offer: What's in It for You?

  • High Impact: The opportunity to actively shape a new, space-derived technology for the mobility sector.

  • Dynamic Culture: A relaxed startup atmosphere with a modern workplace in the Science Park Graz (supported by the ESA Business Incubation Centre Austria).

  • Flexibility: Flexible working hours and location arrangements (10 to 20 hours per week), making it easy to balance with your studies.

  • Academic Opportunity: The option to conduct a scientific thesis at TU Graz in connection with your work.

  • Fair Compensation: A monthly minimum salary on a full-time basis of 1 961 € gross (negotiable based on qualification). Alternatively, payment on a freelance/fee basis is possible.
